Xiaomi has officially disclosed its RedmiBook 13 with a narrow-edge display to provide a “full screen” experience to its users. Taking into account, the Huawei MateBook 13, which had 4.4mm thick bezels to give 88 percent screen-to-body ratio, the RedmiBook 13 is offering 89 percent screen space. The new RedmiBook also has a custom fan, which can increase the volume of the air by 25% with a noise reduction of two decibels over its earlier RedmiBook models. The RedmiBook 13 is powered by the 10th generation Intel Core processor.
According to Weibo, the company is taking pre-orders from today in China while it will be available for sale from December 12, 2019. The price of the RedmiBook 13 in China is CNY 4,199 (approximately Rs. 42,300) for the configuration of 512GB SSD, 8GB RAM, and the Intel Core i5 processor. The price may go up to CNY 5,199 for the Core i7 processor, paired with 512GB SSD and 8GB RAM configuration.
The price, availability, and other details of RedmiBook 13 in the global market are not yet announced.
The RedmiBook 13 is featured with an anti-glare full HD display of 13.3 inches. The screen has a 178 degrees viewing angle and a screen-to-body ratio of 89%. Under the hood, there is the 10th generation Intel Core processors, 8GB DDR4 RAM clocked at a speed of 2,666MHz, and Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card.
Xiaomi has presented its exclusive thermal management system on the RedmiBook 13, such as a dual heat pipe with a 6mm diameter. This Redmi notebook is also made up of a metal body, the same as the one seen on the earlier RedmiBook models. Furthermore, there is a DTS surround sound audio support and a chiclet-style keyboard.
The RedmiBook 13 employs a battery that can deliver 11 hours of backup on a single time charge. Also, the notebook is claiming that it can charge 50% of the battery in just in a time of 35 minutes.
