In September 2017, Xiaomi launched Mi Note 3. At the time of launch, the device was running on Android 7.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 over the top. In November, Mi Note 3 received MIUI 11 update.
Xiaomi does not have any pattern for releasing the MIUI global stable ROM update, but on average, the Global Stable ROM is updated every 30 to 60 days.
The update has brought along several features, including new dynamic sound effects, Steps Tracker, a new Mi File Manager app, Wallpaper Carousel, a new minimalistic design, and even a Floating Calculator.
MIUI 11 rollout by Xiaomi was very challenging to track as of now, because of the complexity in its naming convention of the update and the various upgrades across many regions. Adding to this complexity, there seems to be a very fine boundary between the builds, which are intended only for the Mi Pilot beta testing program, it means that the builds assigned for this group will not be installed on devices with Mi Accounts that do not have the requisite permission.
The same build then again is getting opened up as stable release, generating a lot of confusion. If you get an error message that the update is only for the closed beta testers, you can also sideload the update.
If you want to sideload your Mi Note 3 device with the stable MIUI 11 ROM, then from the links provided below, download the MIUI 11 update.
