Back in July 2019, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 7A phone in India, which was running on MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on top of Android 9.0 when launched. Again in August, the company has rolled out a major MIUI 10.2.7.0 update and brought portrait mode to the smartphone.
Later in December, Xiaomi started rolling out the MIUI 11 Global Stable update to Redmi 7A users in India.
All the features that Xiaomi has brought with the MIUI 11 appear to the Redmi 7A. MIUI 11 adds new visual changes, new dynamic lock screen, Sounds of nature, as well as there are video wallpapers. MIUI 11 has also brought along some new app icons. Still, Xiaomi is also providing the option to retain old app icons, which were loved by several users since the rollout of MIUI 8.
Other features like Mi Work, Mi Share has come with an improved Mi Tasks app and file manager app, and so on, made into the Redmi 7A with MIUI 11 update.
