Samsung is very busy rolling out updates to its flagship smartphones. Now the company took one more step and brought the latest Android 10 Beta 5 OTA update for Galaxy S9 and S9+ with One UI 2.0 ZTA2 build. Just a few days ago, Samsung released the stable Android 10 update for Galaxy S10 series, Note 10 series, and globally for Note 9 series. Recently Snapdragon Galaxy S9 and Note 9 variants in the US got Beta 3 update.
The Exynos or Global variant needs some optimization for the update. For this Samsung under One UI 2.0 beta program, it has released a more stable Android 10 version for the Galaxy S9 series. The details of the Android 10 beta 5 OTA update for the Galaxy S9 series with ZTA2 build are as below.
The update brings the latest January 2020 security patch. One UI 2.0 beta 5 for S9 series has the firmware build numbers G960FXXU7ZTA2 for the Exynos Galaxy S9 and G965FXXU7ZTA2 for the Exynos Galaxy S9 Plus. The new security patch has many bug fixes and other improvements to the system. The bug fixes include updated Digital Wellbeing APK to the latest version. A bug fix for noise occurrence while playing music via USB C-type + 3.5pi. They also fixed the data loss while transferring the contacts. The camera got significant improvements, and it got improved Gesture navigation.

The latest beta update is around 112 MB, and although small in size, it brought many bug fixes with it. The complete update details are as below:
Bug fixes with ZTA2 update:
- Updated Digital Wellbeing tot .3.0.37
- Improved camera performance
- Fixed noise occurrence issue when performing sound quality optimization while playing music using USB C-type + 3.5pi
- Found the solution for the data loss issue when moving Contact
- Fixed problems that can’t be released by Secure folder PIN after the Android 10 OS upgrade
- Fixed issues that don’t apply again while changing SIM SLOT icon
- Improved motion recognition in Gesture navigation
As mentioned before, this update comes in a small size of 112 MB but has many bug fixes in it. You can get the latest update from the Samsung Members App. If you are in the region where this update is not yet available, then you can go for the OTA update Zip and manually sideload it from stock recovery or ADB sideload method.
You can’t get the beta 5 update without having Beta 4. So you need beta 4 to get Beta 4(HotFix) and Beta 5. To get this update, you need beta 4 (HotFix):

Samsung posted the schedule details of the next updates for its smartphones on the Samsung Members App. The Galaxy S9 will start receiving the stable Android 10 update in January 2020 for some regions and in February 2020 for regions of North America.
