The users of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Max Pro M2 users have been desperately waiting for the Android 10 update. Their desperation is clearly visible on social media, where people are asking queries that when their devices would receive a stable Android 10 update.
Back in January, some users claimed on Twitter that their devices got Android 10 update. But, Asus clarified to them that the update is not a stable one, but it is a beta version.
After many queries from the users, the company responded, “Hi there, we understand the emotions of users regarding the stable Android update. The Asus team is working extensively to ensure a better Android experience for our users. We would appreciate it if you give us some time while we aim to provide Android 10 soon.”
However, by seeing a reply from Olivier Vongxay, Asus Mobile Division personnel indirectly said that the stable Android 10 update for Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Max Pro M2 might not come anytime soon. Now, it seems to confirm that the Android 10 update would not arrive soon on these devices as the company rolled out the Android 9 Pie-based April 2020 Android security patch.
Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 ZB602KL received build number 16.2017.2004.063 while Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 ZB630KL receives 16.2017.2004.075 build number. The OTA also brings along the APN list.
The users have also confirmed the same via Twitter and XDA forum.
Since the update is via OTA, it takes time for all the devices to get the update. You will find a notification to download the update, and alternatively, you can check by heading to Settings > About Phone > System update.
