Back in February, Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 7 Pro in India. During its launch, the device came along with MIUI 10.2 Global Stable on Android 9.0 Pie. Xiaomi does not follow any frequency for the Global Stable ROM update, but usually, it is updated every month.
To recall, Xiaomi started rolling out either Beta or stable MIUI 11 updates to its Mi and Redmi devices back in October 2019. MIUI 11 is not based on Android 10 for Redmi Note 7 Pro.
The starting letter of the build number represents the Android version. If the build number starts with P, then it is Android 9 Pie. If the build number is Q, then it is Android 10. Some versions are even based on Android Oreo.
MIUI 11 brought along new features like animated AOD and Horizon Light for supported devices, dynamic sound system, new font, Mi Work and Mi-Go app suites, and many more changes.
On October 30, 2019, Xiaomi rolled out MIUI 11 for Redmi Note 7 Pro. But as usual, the update was OTA and received by the devices in a staged manner.
The MIUI 11 update is complicated to track due to its confusing update naming conventions. There are different updates across regions.
