Download And Install Call Recording Feature On Android 10 Based Sony Xperia Devices Via Xposed Module

Google is considered one of the most demanding and popular apps, which comes pre-installed within the Pixel devices and also the devices under the Android One program. As per the reports, Google Phone App is now available for some non-pixel devices, too, in the Play Store.

Recently, in the Phone app, Google added a support page to make the call recording feature official. The page says that the feature needs an Android 9 or higher version, a supported device, the Google Phone app, and a supported country or region. The page did not reveal the devices or regions to get support. But, the Google Phone app call recording feature is available for a small subgroup of the Nokia users in India.

To recall, Google started working on this call recording feature since January, but at that time, it was not sure that the feature would be only for the Pixel devices or all the other Android devices. Since Nokia runs on the stock UI, it is easy to feature on Nokia devices. But, there is no clear information about other devices. However, the Google Phone App call recording feature is also available on Sony Xperia devices, but you need to get it through Xposed Module. An XDA Recognized Developer serajr has come up with this module for the Sony Xperia devices on Android 10. You can see this feature on the stock dialer app.

You can find this feature on the stock dialer app’s Settings >> Calls. Users can turn On/Off call recording and choose the format of recording between MP3 and AMR. You can also choose for which type of call you want to enable this feature, such as outgoing, incoming, or both.

For your information, the UI of this module is not multi-lingual, but it supports only the English language. For now, the source code is not available, but the developer has promised to provide it soon.

How To Install Call Recording Feature On Sony Xperia Devices?

1. On your rooted Sony Xperia device, download the Magisk latest version and install it.
2. Download EdXposed from the above link and install it.
3. Now download the Xposed module, which is provided above, and install it using EdXposed Manager.
4. Reboot your device, and that’s it.
