Xiaomi launched Mi MIX 2S in March 2018 in China with MIUI 9 based on Android Oreo. In January, the device received an MIUI 11 update based on Android 10. But in November itself, the device started receiving MIUI 11 globally based on Android 9 Pie.
Xiaomi does not have any frequency for the issue of the MIUI global stable ROM update, but the Global Stable ROM is updated for every 30 to 40 days.
The device came up with several new features with MIUI 11 updates that include Dynamic Clock, custom codes, and Kaleidoscope effects, which can be placed on the always-on lock screen. MIUI 11 also brings a Floating Calculator, new dynamic sound effects, a modern minimalistic design, Wallpaper Carousel, a new Mi File Manager app, and even a Steps Tracker.
Till now, the Xiaomi’s MIUI 11 update is tough to track as it has a critical convention of naming for the update, and there are separate upgrades across multiple regions. Apart from this complexity, there also seems to be a minimal distinction between the builds. It means only for the beta testing program, Mi Pilot. It will imply that the builds assigned for this group will not be installed on devices with Mi Accounts that do not have appropriate permission. And the same build opens up as stable release, causing a lot of confusion. If you get an error notification indicating the update is only for closed beta testers, you can even sideload the update.
If you like to sideload your Mi MIX 2S device with the stable MIUI 11 ROM, you can download the update from the below-provided links.
